Klairy Loizidou’s relationship with beauty started early, with an internship at Estée Lauder that sparked a deep love for cosmetics and skincare. But her career path led her into technology, where she developed the precision-driven mindset that would later define Byk Beauty.
That combination, beauty intuition and technical rigour, shaped how Klairy approaches everything she puts on her skin. She reads research. She questions formulations. She wants to understand why an ingredient is in a product, not just what it is. If she can’t understand why it’s there, she doesn’t want it on her skin.
She couldn’t find a deodorant that met her standards, effective, health-conscious, and intentional. So she built it.
What followed was two years of rigorous development alongside formulators and dermocosmetic scientists. Every active ingredient was selected with purpose. Every formulation decision was tested, refined, and questioned. The inclusion of Greek heritage ingredients, Mastic Leaf Extract and volcanic minerals from Milos, was personal, a connection to the Mediterranean landscape she grew up in.
Beneath all of this is something deeper. Klairy believes that health and happiness are deeply connected to energy. That taking care of your mind is as important as taking care of your skin. That in a chaotic world, finding moments of stillness and self-awareness isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity.
